Jasmine wrote:"I feel that I could achieve so much more in life with this opportunity."

EVERY day, Jasmine Salis sticks to a strict routine of exercise, housework and job hunting.

"I hate waking up and having nothing to do," she said.

The teenager's dedication to this regimen is proof she has initiative, commitment and a positive attitude.

But Jasmine's life has also had its ups and downs.

Six months ago, she left Year 12 at Oak Flats High because she was struggling to hand in her work on time.

She had moved out of home after a family argument, and the stress of living temporarily with a friend made it hard to keep her mind on school.

Now back at home, Jasmine wants a traineeship that can open up a future career path in business administration.

She has looked as far afield as the Sydney CBD, with no success.

"I want a traineeship in business management or something like that, then I want to go back to senior college and do my HSC," Jasmine said.

"But I want experience first. I don't know what will come after the HSC, so I want to get a bit of life experience."
